Br J Audiol

ISSN (printed): 0300-5364. ISSN (electronic): 1471-2849.

Discontinued in 2001. Continued by International Journal of Audiology (1499-2027). The British Journal of Audiology is internationally renowned as a major forum for the dissemination of research findings in this field of medicine. It publishes papers which present original scientific information or ideas relevant to audiology. The journal deals with the more fundamental psychophysical and physiological aspects of hearing loss as well as topics with more practical relevance to professionals working in this field. Though there is an emphasis on the investigation and alleviation of deafness and on rehabilitation, papers may cover any of the following research areas: paediatric, adult and geriatric audiology; hearing aids and their prescription; objective and subjective tests of hearing; development of diagnostic, physiological and psychoacoustic techniques; sociological aspects of deafness; balance and balance disorders; tinnitus; and delivery of auditory health care.
