The Howard Journal of Criminal Justice is concerned with all major aspects of the criminal justice process penal policy and crime prevention. The Howard Journal of Criminal Justice is a social science journal combining articles with comments and reviews providing a thorough coverage of both the theory and practice of criminal justice and the study of crime and criminals. Each issue includes a Penal Policy File summarizing the latest developments in criminal justice policy. The journal fills a unique role by making complex material accessible to criminal justice professionals as well as reporting research of a high academic standard from around the world. The journal welcomes contributions not only from academics and researchers but from practitioners policy makers and those with relevant voluntary experience. The journal solicits contributions on criminology particularly focusing on criminal justice in Europe including the former Eastern bloc and innovations in criminal justice in Australasia South Africa and North America.
