Journal of Solar Energy Engineering
J Sol Energ Eng

ISSN (printed): 0199-6231. ISSN (electronic): 1528-8986.

The Journal of Solar Energy Engineering publishes technical papers and technical brief notes on all aspects of solar energy and renewable technologies as well as energy conservation. The February 2000 issue of the Journal is the first issue to include a new forum for topics that are of interest to our readers but are not suitable for technical papers because they are of current rather than long-term interest. The new Discussion section of each issue will be devoted to issues such as energy policy, projections of the impact of alternative technologies on the environment and energy consumption, and R&D initiatives. Although there is no specific page limit for these papers, other than the nine-page limit for all papers, it is recommended that Discussions be limited to 1000 to 1500 words. These papers will be subject to the normal review process and must meet the highest standards for technical and factual accuracy. Opinions must be clearly identified and will be published at the discretion of the Editorial Board. The Editorial Board includes thirteen Associate Technical Editors who are responsible for topical areas including solar collectors, solar thermal power, solar space applications, solar ponds and OTEC, solar chemistry and bioconversion, energy storage, testing and measurement, fundamentals and theory, system and component simulation, photovoltaics, wind energy, and conservation and solar buildings. The Journal also welcomes technical papers that introduce new fields or applications of solar and other renewable energies.
