Anthropological Literature is a bibliographic index to articles in journals and edited works received by the Tozzer Library. The e-resource contains more than 570,000 entries dating from the early 19th century to the present. Titles indexed: approximately 4370 journals, monographs, and monographic series. Some 700 journals/series titles are currently reviewed for indexing as well as several hundred monographs. About 10,000 new records are added each year in quarterly updates. Coverage includes core anthropology and archaeology journals as well as interdisciplinary resources. Major topics include social and cultural anthropology, Old and New World archaeology, biological and physical anthropology. Subject areas include anthropological perspectives on economics, ethnology, folklore, human evolution, linguistics, material culture, medicine, museum studies, primatology, psychology, religion, visual studies, zooarchaeology, as well as other related subjects, emphasizing Mesoamerican, Native American, and Andean archaeology and ethnology.
