This German-language journal sketches the results of the latest research work supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (the German Science Foundation), in short DFG. It is a truly interdisciplinary publication written for the scientist as well as the curious and questioning layman. A special section deals with politics and future projects of the DFG. All articles are illustrated in colour.
