SIGAPL fosters the development and application of the APL language via a lively exchange of ideas and techniques. Each year APL sponsors or co-sponsors an international APL conference at which leading-edge materials in the field are presented. Areas of Special Interest: APL in the insurance and securities industries, standards, language enhancement (including object orientation and GUI capabilities) and new dialects of APL, extended character sets, parallel processing, building toolkits for common utilities.
