The Journal was founded in 1978 by Ronald Shlensky, M.D., J.D. and continues to publish papers of interest to forensic psychiatrists, and attorneys who litigate civil and criminal cases. The primary focus of the journal is on forensic skills. Manuscripts that focus on topics in the interface of psychiatry and law are always welcome and are submitted to peer review. Our authors and readers are interested in both U.S. as well as international forensic practice.
