This journal is concerned with the science and technology of remote sensing and the applications of remotely sensed data in all major disciplines. Principal topics are: data collection, analysis, interpretation and display; surveying from space, air and water platforms; sensors; image processing; use of remotely sensed data; economic surveys and cost-benefit analyses. The journal contains primary papers on basic science, techniques and applications, and a section of Remote Sensing Letters containing material which merits fast publication. Most papers feature illustration in colour. The current impact factor is 0.979 Members of the Remote Sensing Society are eligible for a privileged subscription rate.
