Journal of Research in Reading provides an international forum for researchers into literacy. It increased to 3 issues a year in 1997. It is a refereed journal principally devoted to reports of empirical studies in reading and related fields and to informed reviews of relevant literature. It also includes brief research notes (including abstracts of theses) notices of conferences (including calls for papers) and reviews of books and published research reports.
