In 1999 the Centre for Economic Forecasting at London Business School and Oxford Economic Forecasting began a collaborative venture analysing macro economic prospects in the UK. The resulting research is published in Economic Outlook . Economic Outlook provides a combination of independent analysis commentary and forecasts of the UK and other major world economies. It is a quarterly economic report designed for use by corporate executives business libraries corporate planners research departments and government and policy-making institutions. Authoritative Commentary and Analysis Authoritative Analysis of issues of current importance to business and the financial markets by the teams at the Centre for Economic Forecasting and Oxford Economic Forecasting and by distinguished guest commentators. Recent contributors have included Alan Budd (former member of MPC) Nicholas Crafts (LSE) David Currie (LBS) and Richard Portes (CEPR). Analysis of Current Economic Policy Most editions of Economic Outlook contain special issues focusing on major policy questions. Issues addressed in recent editions have included structural change in the UK labour market changes to UK wage and price behaviour medium-term prospects for the Japanese economy and economic implications of European demographic change. Comprehensive Analysis and Projections for the UK Economy Each issue contains detailed analysis and projections for the UK economy. Developed using OEF's highly regarded macroeconometric model the analysis provides clear insight into recent economic developments and prospects fully illustrated with charts and easy-to-use tables. And it highlights the critical risks to the economic outlook and implication for key business and policy drivers.This model gives particular emphasis to the behaviour of the 'supply-side' of the economy.
