Azania: Archaeological Research in Africa
Azania
ISSN (printed): 0067-270X. ISSN (electronic): 1945-5534.
A journal of the British Institute in Eastern Africa, Azania has, over the past 41 years, built up a strong track record in publishing papers on the archaeology and precolonial history of Eastern Africa. Today, the journal is expanding in scope and going forward in a new direction. The relaunched Azania: Archaeological Research in Africa will focus more exclusively on archaeology, while greatly expanding its chronological and geographical remit. Azania: Archaeological Research in Africa seeks to become the premier outlet for publishing archaeological work on Africa's past. It publishes peer-reviewed papers and briefer research reports, as well as book and conference reviews, on all aspects of archaeological research in Africa, without restriction as to period or area.
