Now in its thirtieth year of publication, Reuse/Recycle provides its readers with news and information on recycling - with special emphasis on the recovery and reuse of household postconsumer and industrial preconsumer waste materials. Reports inform you of important recent developments in all these areas: Methods and equipment for recovery (including detection and separation); Mechanical and chemical processing technology; Products and markets for recycled materials; Performance of recycled materials and products made with recycled materials; Economics and business of recycling, including the changing structure of the industry; Regulation and enforcement on all levels - local, state, federal, international; Association and company recycling programs. All commercially important materials are covered - plastics, elastomers, metals, glass, wood, textiles and paper and paperboard. All consumer-product and industrial waste sources and end-uses are covered including packaging, newspapers, automotive materials, building and construction materials, chemicals and fuels. Case histories provide examples of recycling programs - successes and failures. Advances in biodegradable polymers are given special attention. Each issue also includes a report from Reuse/Recycle's European Correspondent, Dr. G. Mavel. This report consists of short news items on all aspects of European recycling. Reuse/Recycle is designed to serve the information needs of all those in industry and government concerned with materials management and technology, as well as solid waste disposal and regulatory compliance.
