The purpose of the journal is to facilitate communication among those interested in the topic of social philosophy without being committed to any particular school or method of philosophy. The journal is wide-ranging peer-reviewed and has published some of the most distinguished scholars in social philosophy. In addition to four issues per year of the Journal of Social Philosophy institutional subscribers receive the acclaimed annual publication Midwest Studies in Philosophy edited by Peter A.
