Acta Medica Iranica (ISSN 0044-6025) is the official journal of the Faculty of Medicine, Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Founded in 1960, it is an international journal with multidisciplinary scope which publishes original research papers, case reports, review articles and letters to the editor. Acta Medica Iranica is published quarterly by the office of the Associate Dean for Research, Faculty of Medicine. Founded in 1920, Faculty of Medicine is the oldest medical school in Iran with 717 full-time teaching staff, 892 residents, and a student body of 3,625.
