Making better use of natural resources, particularly plant and animal products, in hotter climates is of vital importance to many countries. Tropical Science has long been internationally recognised as an authoritative journal within the spheres of science, technology and economics as applied to the development of renewable resources in the tropics and sub-tropics. As such, it publishes much material of relevance to developing countries. For all who are concerned with research, development and production of plant and animal products in the hotter climates - scientists, technologists, engineers and economists from research establishments, development agencies, departments of agriculture, forestry and fisheries, industrial concerns and producers - Tropical Science is both a major source of information and ideas, and an important medium for publishing findings of value to others.
