Founded by Giorgio Del Vecchio, the fourth edition of this quarterly review appeared in 1968 with a new style of printing and a new editorial board charged to include a number of authoritative scholars in this branch of learning. It is the only journal published in Italy, and one of the oldest and best known at international level, devoted to the philosophy of law. At this present time in the country's cultural life, when fresh problems and fields of research are joining those of a more traditional and perpetual natural, the review opens its page to the many and valid suggestions for reflection on law offered by philosophical political, sociological and economic research. Consistent with its guiding inspiration and steadily widening its range of interests, this journal provides an essential reference point for all those who consider law as a cultural phenomenon.
