Norwegian Archaeological Review presents articles of special interest to Scandinavian archaeological research. Published since 1968 and issued under the auspices of the Norwegian Archaeology Meeting, this journal presents articles of special interest to Scandinavian archaeological research. It concentrates on the European area, but description and discussion of archaeological methodology and theory based on results from other parts of the world are also welcomed. The aim is to create a meeting ground for discussions on archaeological problems. Foreign and Norwegian scientists are invited to take part in an active exchange of opinions. The comments of specialists, along with the author's reply, are given as an addendum to main articles. Norwegian Archaeological Review also presents short articles concerning important excavations and special artefacts, and review articles from specially invited archaeologists.
