The journal Limba Româna founded in 1952 is devoted to the study of the Romanian language: grammar, vocabulary, the literary language and stylistics, the history of Romanian linguistics, dialectology, language refinement, orthography, etymology, onomastics and philology, articles in general linguistics, commentaries, opinions on usage, notes and reviews. The journal also publishes annually an exhaustive bibliography of works in linguistics printed in Romania. It is now published in one volume a year, consisting of 6 issues with a total average number of 550 pages.
