Quarterly Journal Published by the Monks of Chevetogne. Irénikon, the French-language ecumenical journal published by the monks of Chevetogne, is closely linked to the founding insights and the history of the monastery. For almost eighty years, Irénikon has endeavoured, to encourage Christians of various traditions to better understand each other, and thereby to grow in mutual respect and esteem, as a first step to serious dialogue. Every issue contains scholarly articles on theology, history, spirituality and monasticism, with summaries in English. Each issue also contains a chronicle on developments in the various Churches, with a special emphasis on matters of ecumenical interest, bilateral and multilateral dialogues, as well as other inter-church contacts. The book review section discusses recently published works on theological, historical and ecumenical topics.
