The relationship between humans and their environment is the subject matter of this journal. Over the last three decades it has published papers and other material covering the various aspects of the subject, viz. ecology, radiation, noise, pollution in its many forms, relating to the biosphere and outer space, industrial health, occupational hygiene, city planning, ekistics, transportation and its effects, and many other aspects of problems dealing with the activities of humans in the context of the environment. Further, the publication is also devoted to the examination and solution of potential and existing environmental problems in both the industrialized and developing countries, including acid rain, air pollution, water pollution, control processes and technologies relating to those, etc. The aim of the journal is to serve those scientists and technologists who are charged with identifying and solving concrete problems concerning the environment. In addition, the journal will also be of interest and benefit to social and natural scientists, as well as architects, town planners and other professional people.
