The Germanic Review serves up a feast of international scholarship in German studies. Recent articles concern Kafka, Grete Weil, Karl Krauss, Apelfeld, and Jewish writing in German. The journal is edited at Columbia University. With contributors representing leading research institutions in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, and Germany, The Germanic Review features peer-reviewed articles on German literature and culture, plus several reviews per quarter of the latest books in the field. Most articles are in English, although some in each issue are in German. German scholars and students appreciate its analyses of German literature, culture, and theory as well as the lives of German authors.
