Ethnos is a peer-reviewed journal which publishes original papers promoting theoretical, methodological and empirical developments in the discipline of socio-cultural anthropology. The journal aims to engage with the scope and dynamics of contemporary anthropology by providing an open forum where a wide variety of different anthropologies can gather together and enter into critical exchange. As anthropologists increasingly move between and beyond disciplinary boundaries, and as different national traditions of anthropology increasingly engage in dialogue with one another, the discipline itself continues to be enlarged and enriched. Ethnos is committed to contributing to those dialogues and reflecting the shifting boundaries of anthropological enquiry. In that spirit, the journal encourages submission both from scholars working in anthropology and those in other disciplines whose work can make a substantial contribution to topics of concern to anthropologists. Papers selected for publication in Ethnos will display rich ethnography, solid methodological foundations, strong writing, and provocative theoretical commentary.
