Giacomo Brodolini founded “Economia & Lavoro” in 1967, picturing it as an instrument of debate among political, social, cultural and economic forces, joined together in the pursuit of aims like a demographic increase and a reform. Since 1971, the periodical has been owned by the “Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini” (Giacomo Brodolini Foundation). High scientific profile, for its themes, analysis, methods, co-operators and authors, the review was characterized through the years for the absolute opening towards the various theoretical and cultural trends, in the belief that only the dialectic among different positions, analyzed with free and independent spirit, can be fruitful and a real progress bearer. Besides, great attention is focused on the working world and the trade unions.
