The journal of the German Geological Society DGG presents itself in a new functional layout starting with volume 147 (1996). Instead of two issues annually, Zeitschrift der Deutschen Geologischen Gesellschaft now publishes four issues per annum. The journal accepts the submission of English, German and French language papers from all fields of geology, hydrogeology, paleontology, tectonics, sedimentology, engineering geology, and of course environmental geology to name a few.
