Comparative Literature Studies brings you the work of eminent critics, scholars, theorists, and literary historians. Their essays range across the rich traditions of Europe and North and South America and examine the literary relations between East Asia and the West. They also explore movements, themes, forms, the history of ideas, relations between authors, and the foundations of criticism and theory. Each issue includes reviews of significant books by prominent scholars. CLS is published under the auspices of the Department of Comparative Literature at The Pennsylvania State University, One of its regular issues every two years will concern East-West relationships and will be edited in conjuncture with members of the College of International Relations at Nihon University.
