L'Actualité économique is a French-language scientific journal dedicated to the dissemination of new knowledge in the fields of economic science and finance. Founded in 1925 by the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC Montreal), the journal has since 1973 been under the editorial supervision of the Société canadienne de science économique (SCSE). Association with a learned society such as SCSE was intended to enhance the journal’s scientific nature and make it a true research publication. L’Actualité économique’s mission is to serve as a preferred communications vehicle in North American and European for economists and finance specialists who wish to publish texts in French. Its articles are listed notably in the Canadian Periodicals Index, the Index of Economic Articles, the Journal of Economic Literature and Point de repère.
